Time to Go Lean……..
It was the year 2000 when, while sitting in Professor Jana‘s Production Management class at N.I.F.T., Delhi, I first heard the words “Lean Manufacturing .We Deliberated over this phrase for about 10 minutes and although the words had some strange intriguing flavors to them, the class discussion got diverted towards topics like “Growing Indian Economy” and “Increasing apparel Exports” .The words got lost to other more relevant topics during those times.
