AEPC to impart education to women, transgenders
AEPC will impart 15 days of practical training to women and transgenders on thread work and sequence work. Its Rural Development and Labour Welfare Foundation will take up the initiative in Tamil Nadu initially.

There will be no theory classes except for a simple briefing on the origin and importance of surface ornamentation, hand-embroidery and garment ornamentation in value-added products. People with low or no literacy level can also enroll for the programme. In each batch, the number of trainees will be 30.
