This section tracks the movement of currencies of some of the major textile with respect to US$ and Euro.
The rupee appreciation rate with respect to dollar has declined consistently in the last few weeks, when compared on point-to-point basis. The dollar appreciated by 11.53% when compared to third week of August 2006. Rupee appreciation in terms of Euro also stabilized marginally this week, with appreciation rate at 5.94% as compared to 8.05% lin the previous week.
