1. Shri Shankersinh Vaghela, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, launched one-day seminar on “Product Development for Synthetic Textiles” at Surat ATDC Centre on 08-08-2007.

2. ATDC Indore Centre has started one-day seminar on Time & Motion Study/Sewing Room Productivity etc. The Purpose of this programme is to generate more skilled workers for the Apparel export industry & to create more awareness for ATDC Indore.

3. A Special training programme on Sewing Machine Operation (SMO) with the knowledge of Pattern Making was arranged for 30 women candidates from Kanjikuzhy and Aryad Block Panchayaths, Alapuzha District, Kerala at ATDC Main Centre, Kinfra Apparel Park, Trivandrum. They were trained for one month starting from 08-07-2007 till 09-08-2007. The trainees will be engaged in Production Centres set up by the panchayath at different villages.

4. The un-employed youth from the Naxal affected villages of Dharampuri District of Tamilnadu have been imparted Training in Sweing Machine Operation from 1st June, 2007 to 25th July, 2007 at ATDC, Dharamapuri. As a part of their curriculum an AV show was arranged on 24-07-2007 and all the students were briefed about the functions of a Readymade Garment Industry and the sequence of operations in Construction of Garment.
